An HO scale Milwaukee, Racine & Troy steel cupola caboose is the latest offering from Shop.Trains.com. The model, produced by ScaleTrains, is decorated in our freelance railroad’s brown-and-black paint scheme with white graphics.
The easy-to-build model, part of the Kit Classics line, features an injection-molded plastic body with a separate cupola and underbody. Additional features include engineering plastic end railings and ladders, formed-wire ladder loops, modeler-installed brake wheels and smokejack, pre-cut window glazing, metal weights, and self-tapping screws. Body mounted plastic semi-scale Type E knuckle couplers without trip pins are also included. The draft-gear boxes will accept Kadee whisker-style couplers, sold separately.
The caboose rides on solid-bearing trucks with 33” machined metal wheelsets. The model, which has an 18” minimum radius, is compatible with codes 70, 83, and 100 rail. A hobby knife, small Phillips screwdriver, tweezers, hobby glue (for bonding plastic parts), and clear parts glue (for attaching window glazing) are needed to assemble the kit.
We’re offering the HO scale Milwaukee, Racine & Troy steel cupola caboose (era: April 1950+) in three road numbers, and this caboose features road number 1423.
Quantities are extremely limited. This is a kit you don’t want to miss out on, so order soon!
