Lead foil has been a go-to for modelers making tarpaulins, banners, or bent metal, but it has one big drawback: it’s lead, so there are serious health risks attached. Green Stuff World’s Metal Foil is a great alternative.
This tin pewter material is flexible and holds shapes like lead. It is .2mm thick and can be cut with scissors or a knife. I placed it in one of Green Stuff World’s miniature leaf punches and was rewarded with three perfectly shaped leaves ready to be painted. It can also be easily made into tubes, pressed into a corrugations, and pretty much any other shape.
Each sheet is 10cm x 45cm (3.9 inches x 17.7 inches), providing material for quite a few projects. Plus, it’s lead free. Perfect!
