Ideas for Building a Track Cleaner

When you have an outdoor railroad, keeping the track clean is an ongoing issue. We present three different types of track cleaners to help you build your own track cleaner. One uses sections of an empty glue bottle with attached dowels and emery cloth. The second assembles a weighted cleaning pad under a boxcar. The third method uses a brush-powered cleaner in 1:15 scale.
